About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Three of cruising’s newest ships were all in port together in St. Maarten — Star Princess, Celebrity Xcel, and Star of the Seas! We were sailing on Princess Cruises’ new Star Princess when Celebrity Xcel arrived, followed by Royal Caribbean’s massive Star of the Seas. At first, I did not realize how special this port day was, but then it clicked — three new ships, three major cruise lines, and three very different visions of the future of cruising were all together in one port. In this quick cruise ship spotting video, we take a look at Star Princess, Celebrity Xcel, and Star of the Seas docked together in St. Maarten and compare the different styles of these three new cruise ships. Afterward, I checked public port schedules, and I could only find one confirmed day during their first Caribbean season when all three of these ships were scheduled together in the same Caribbean port — the day we were there in St. Maarten. Do you know of another day these three ships met up? Let me know in the comments! If you enjoy cruise ship tours, embarkation days, cabin tours, port days, and real cruise experiences, I would love to have you subscribe and follow along here on Jetways to Gangways.
