I've just come back from a weekend boating holiday in the Norfolk Broads, UK. I've done another video of the whole holiday (there's a link to it at the end of this video) but this is an in-depth inside look and boat tour of the boat (aka motor cruiser or pleasure craft) that we hired. It was an 8-berth boat called an Explorer. This was Explorer 3 - perhaps the biggest boat we could get - and even though we it can sleep 8, we were four people and it was lovely and spacious. I'm not sure I'd ever really want to be on this boat with 8 people, but if you had to you could manage. The boat has 3 bedrooms (cabins) and 3 bathrooms, as well as a galley, saloon (lounge) and top deck. Plus (and a bonus if it's cold or rainy) you can steer it from two places - inside and outside - a real bonus. I think the official titles are upper helm and lower helm. I don't think I'd ever want to hire any other boat on any boating holiday - it really was exceptional.
