Ålesund waterside summer walk

Ålesund is in one of the most beautiful places in the world - the Norwegian Fjords. The town is also very attractive and has distinctive Jugend Art Nouveau architecture as the old wooden town was destroyed by fire in 1904 and quickly rebuilt in stone. Our walk takes in everywhere you are likely to go in the town centre, along the waterfront, to the end of the lighthouse pier, the cruise ship terminals and the main shopping street. We see the local band setting off on their march, huge cruise ships and a bonus at the end - beautiful aerial views of Ålesund set to music, all taken at the time of the walk. Liberally sprinkled with information about things we pass on the walk, and inset views to show different times of day or different views.
