YouTube Video Description

We’ve finally made it… Antarctica! ❄️🐧 In this episode of Kinny and JJ Go All the Way To…, we explore the Antarctic Peninsula—from our very first landing to unforgettable wildlife encounters and once-in-a-lifetime adventures. Our journey begins with an early arrival to the peninsula and a landing at Half Moon Island, where we’re greeted by our first Chinstrap penguins. We’ll show you what it’s really like to make an Antarctic landing, explore marked paths set by expedition guides, spot seals and whale bones, and spend time simply watching penguins go about their daily lives. Next, we head to Hope Bay for one of the most unique experiences of the trip: a dive below the surface in Seabourn Pursuit’s C-Explorer 3 (C7300) submersible. From launching the sub to descending beneath the Antarctic ice, we share what you actually see underwater, what the experience feels like, and whether the $1,000 price tag is worth it—plus John even gets to live out a lifelong dream. The adventure continues with zodiac cruising among glacier ice, penguins jumping around our boat, and even relaxing in the hot tub with champagne while overlooking an Argentinian research base. Then it’s on to Brown Bluff, home to one of the largest Adélie penguin colonies on the Antarctic Peninsula—literally thousands of penguins in every direction. Finally, we make our way to Cuverville Island, an incredible iceberg graveyard. After hiking through deep snow, navigating penguin highways (and penguin mud!), and witnessing an avalanche, we’re rewarded with breathtaking views—and the day somehow gets even better with sightings of humpback whales and orcas right from the ship. This is only the beginning of our Antarctic expedition, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. If you haven’t already, be sure to watch Part 1 and Part 2 of our journey to see how we got here—including what it was like to cross the Drake Passage.
