Have you ever thought about cruising to Alaska? Because if you haven’t… you really need to. Imagine waking up, pulling back your curtains, and seeing towering snow capped mountains, misty forests and glaciers glowing blue in the distance. That’s Alaska by cruise. Most itineraries sail the Inside Passage, with popular ports like Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. Juneau is Alaska’s capital and you can visit the incredible Mendenhall Glacier or head out whale watching. Ketchikan is famous for its colourful wooden buildings and rich Native heritage. And Skagway… that’s where you step straight into Gold Rush history. Wildlife is everywhere. I’m talking humpback whales breaching beside the ship, orcas slicing through the water, bald eagles soaring overhead, sea otters floating on their backs, and if you’re lucky, even bears along the shoreline. You don’t just visit Alaska… you experience it. And if you stop in Skagway, you have to ride the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway. This historic Gold Rush train climbs high into the mountains along the same route prospectors once took in the 1890s. The scenery is unreal, waterfalls, deep gorges and dramatic bridges clinging to the cliffside. It’s one of the most iconic shore excursions in Alaska. Glacier days are something else too. Standing on deck wrapped up warm, watching huge chunks of ice calve into the sea… it’s powerful and unforgettable. So tell me… would you cruise to Alaska? Or have you already done it? #travel #alaska #alaskacruise #travel #cruisetour #cruiseship #cruise #cruising #cruiselife #cruisetravel
