YouTube Video Descriptionβ
Sunday 24th July 2022 saw the departing P&O Cruise Ships 'Aurora' & 'Britannia' complete with a horn salute to each other from Southampton. The 'Aurora' seen departing from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at 16:38pm and had tug assistance due to the windy conditions here in Southampton, as she was passing Town Quay she then started to give a horn salute to 'Britannia' which was at the Ocean Cruise Terminal and they both blew their horns back and forth to one another what a lovely sound that was to hear, the 'Aurora' then shortly blew her horn again as she was passing the Cunard Cruise Ship 'Queen Victoria' but the wind was also blowing quite a bit so was a bit difficult to hear fully and the 'Aurora' was off to Trondheim Norway. Just before 18:30pm the 'Britannia' then made her departure from the Ocean Cruise Terminal and she was off to La Coruna Spain.
