We have had amazing weather in Hawaii... until today... We pull into the port of Kona and it's overcast and looks like rain will come any minute. But we head out to make the best of our day! First stop is COFFEE!! Kona is known for some of the best coffee in the world, and we have to agree that it is pretty darn good! This port is our favorite so far with what the actual port area is like. You come off the tender boat right into town where everything is happening... hotels, shops, restaurants... and everything in walking distance which makes it perfect for exploring on foot. We run into some friends... and it is gettting close to lunch... so we decide to walk over to Kona Brewing Company for some local beer... and we have heard, great pizza! There were many brews to choose from, so a flight was in order. Oh, and the pizza was really good! Before getting back on the ship, we needed a sweet treat! So we find a little shop selling Acia bowls and the local specialty, Shave Ice.
