Bon Voyage to "Iona" as she departs Southampton on her Maiden Voyage - 07/08/2021

A day after the maiden passenger-carrying voyage for Virgin Voyages' "Scarlet Lady" took place from Portsmouth, it became the turn for P&O Cruises" "Iona" - another ship completed just before the pandemic and had not been able to enter service - to commence her first passenger sailings from Southampton on Saturday 7th August 2021. At 9pm she slipped her moorings and is seen reversing out from the Ocean Cruise Terminal and turning before heading off down Southampton Water where she will be making a week-long British Isles coastal cruise including her namesake island of Iona off the West Coast of Scotland.
