Bon Voyage to "Scarlet Lady" as she departs Portsmouth on her Maiden Passenger Voyage - 06/08/2021
YouTube Video Descriptionβ
Having first been delivered to Virgin Voyages in early 2020, "Scarlet Lady" had her debut scuttled by the Cruise Industry shutting down due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and up until now had not carried a single passenger. On Friday 6th August 2021, that came to an end when she embarked her first paying passengers for a three-night maiden staycation voyage along from Portsmouth to travel along the South Coast of England before returning to Portsmouth on Monday 9th August. Originally due to depart at 7pm, problems with the mandetory COVID testing resulted in delays to passengers getting aboard the ship and was delayed further when she had to wait for three Brittany and one Condor Ferries to depart and then arrive into the port before she finally was able to leave around 9:40pm.
