About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Would we do it again? Tour & tasting at the oldest winery farm in South Africa over 330 plus years old is the Groot Constantia Winery. Probably not… We would skip the tour, go right to the tasting and save a few dollars. We thought the tour group was way too big, we couldn’t hear the tour guide and when we did, it sounded like he was just going through the motions of the basic wine making process. Not really providing any substantial information in regards to the history of the winery. We would have liked to have heard about the significant events of the winery through the 330 plus years of existence and less of going through the motions of basic wine making. The tasting on the other hand was amazing! The tables filled up fast because the tour group was so large. We were fortunate that Brian & Siobhan let us sit with them. The wines were appetizing. We preferred the reds over the whites, Gouverneurs Reserve, Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. For additional information here is their website link https://grootconstantia.co.za Please consider watching our entire Cunard Playlist to see more of this magnificient oceanliner as well as some of the adventures we had at each of the ports of call. This journey started in NY in January 2024 when we boarded the Queen Mary 2 and sailed to Southampton, England - Tenerife, Spain - Walvis Bay, Namibia - Port Elizabeth, Capetown & Durban, South Africa - Reunion Island - Mauritius Island and then finally Perth, Australia. We stayed in an inside cabin (check out our cabin tour & review video) for 45 days that included a Transatlantic Crosssing and 2 Segments of her World Cruise. With many interesting changes in weather, sickness, safety protocols, breaking-news LIVE updates, as well as amazing ports of call with two overnight stops we hope you find our videos both informative and fun to watch. And as always... Thanks for coming along on our journey!
