Creator's Key Takeaways
The good news is we did see two different pods of dolphins and that alone made the trip worthwhile.
Watching them swim along the boat was definitely the highlight of the ride over.
Even though the trip didn't turn out to be what I expected, it was still an interesting adventure.
The dolphins were amazing. Santa Cruz Island was beautiful, and now we know a lot more about what to expect on future Channel Island trips.

About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
After landing in Burbank National Airport, we set out for Ventura to Channel Islands Adventure and stopped along the way to stretch our legs at Wildwood Park. Once in Ventura we thought we were going to take a scenic cruise on Island packers to Anacopa island to view wildlife and the island from the water on a slow calm ride. Instead it ended up being a fast and very rough and bumpy crossing out to Santa Cruz Island with Island Packers. The ride was intense and I got pretty seasick, but we were lucky enough to see two pods of dolphins that made the trip unforgettable. Once we arrived, we discovered we were at Scorpion Ranch instead Anacopa Island. After getting off the boat, a walk around the island helped settle everything, and we were able to enjoy the beach and scenery before heading back. Definitely not the trip we imaginedβbut still an unforgettable adventure. Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/paul-yudin/at-the-hotel License code: KLL6IUAPM0KQQL2M
