Tuesday 6th September was not a very good day for many people. High winds and heavy rain played havoc around the country. One place that was particuarly bad was Dover. Cruise ships go in and out of the port as well as ferries, but on this day the wind was too strong for ships to get in. Instead, two cruise ships that were due into Dover were diverted to Southampton instead. 'AIDA Cruises' M/S "AIDAblu" arrived early in the morning and was docked at Berth 106/The 'Mayflower' Cruise Terminal. It was later joined around noon by 'Costa Cruises' M/S "Costa Atlantica" who docked at Berth 101/The 'City' Cruise Terminal.
