Cruise news today. Norwegian Cruise Line has gone paperless. As of October 13, the line’s longtime printed “Freestyle Daily” schedule is now digital-only across the fleet. Guests can view daily activities, dining options, and updates through the NCL app or their stateroom TVs. Printed copies are still available by request, but the move is aimed at sustainability and real-time communication. NCL says the change cuts paper waste while giving guests faster access to onboard information. Princess Cruises is changing how deposits work for new bookings. Effective immediately, the cruise line will default to non-refundable deposits on all new reservations. This is a shift from its long-standing policy of offering refundable deposits by default. Refundable options will still be available in some promotions or for an added fee but don’t expect it to be the norm. Disney Cruise Line officially took delivery of its newest ship, the Disney Destiny, during a ceremony in the Netherlands on Wednesday. Built at Germany’s Meyer Werft shipyard, the 2,500-guest ship now heads to Fort Lauderdale, where it will begin four- and five-night cruises to the Caribbean and Bahamas starting in 2025. Itineraries include visits to Disney’s private destinations and ports like Nassau, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. The Destiny is the third ship in the line’s LNG-powered fleet. Cruise line stocks for CCL, RCL, NCLH, and VIK.
