MAJOR CRUISE NEWS UPDATE - COVID OUTBREAK JEOPARDIZES START UP OF CRUISING FROM THE US//In this video, we go over the latest cruise news this week, when there was an outbreak on Seadream Yacht Club, the first cruise sailing in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, the fall out from it puts the future of cruising in peril. We explain what happened, and how this happened, and talk about why the no sail order just might be reinstated. In other cruise news, we also have information on how you can sign up to volunteer for test cruises, when they resume from the US under the new plan. Hopefully, this plan for phased in cruising will happen, and Royal Caribbean has a program, called Volunteers of the Seas. You can sign up for it and be on trial sailings. * Here are the instructions, information and a link for the form* https://lifewellcruised.com/how-to-sign-up-for-a-test-cruise-volunteers-of-the-seas/ The Seadream 1 was doing it's first Caribbean cruise, leaving from Barbados. Seadream Yacht Club is a luxury cruise line, with small ships that hold less than 250 people. On this cruise, they were sailing with less than 120 passengers and crew. Although they had protocols on board for safety and health, which included testing, they did not mandate wearing masks, until a few days into the cruise. This is controversial, as it's unknown what caused the outbreak on board. Since this happened, cruising is in the news in a negative light, with a senator and congresswoman calling for the CDC to reinstate the no sail order and rescind the already strict framework for conditional sailing. Please let me know in the comments what you think, and if this situation could actually cause a setback for the eventual restart of cruises from the US.
