This was a very informative Cruise Ship Bridge virtual tour presentation given by the Captain of Holland America Amsterdam Fred Eversen. He first gives a brief history of the ship, then goes to explain the purpose of each control console you would see on the bridge. It was pretty fascinating learning about the technologies behind a modern (modern-ish in this case) cruise ship, especially about the azipods, the fire suppression systems. After this detailed presentation, many of the guests including myself felt like we could work as a captain on the bridge of a cruise ship ourselves J/K ;-). The presentation took place at the Queen's Lounge (the ship's theater) during our June 2017 14 day cruise aboard the HAL Amsterdam. #hollandamerica
