There’s something special about watching cruise ships sail away, and on Memorial Day Weekend, I finally checked something off my cruise bucket list! While in Miami on other business, I decided to head over to South Pointe Park Pier to experience one of the best cruise ship viewing locations in the world. I've sailed out of Port Miami many times and have always looked over at this spot from the deck of a ship, but this was my first time actually standing there and taking it all in for myself. Despite the holiday crowds, the experience was absolutely worth it. On this particular Saturday, there were only four cruise ships in port, giving me the opportunity to enjoy an incredible sail away lineup: 🚒 Norwegian Luna 🚒 Carnival Horizon 🚒 Icon of the Seas 🚒 MSC World America Watching these massive ships pass by from such a close vantage point was exciting enough, but this day carried a little extra meaning. My in-laws were sailing aboard MSC World America, making the final sail away even more special. This simple afternoon reminded me why I love cruising so much. Standing on the pier, feeling the ocean breeze, hearing the ship horns, and watching thousands of vacationers begin their journeys fueled my excitement for our own upcoming cruise on June 25th. If you've ever wondered what it's like to watch a cruise ship parade from South Pointe Park Pier, come along and experience one of Miami's best hidden gems for cruise enthusiasts. βš“ Have you ever watched ships sail away from Port Miami? βš“ Which ship would you have been most excited to see? βš“ Do you have a cruise coming up soon?
