No Alaska cruise is complete without an encounter with a glacier. When selecting itineraries, we were torn between those sailing into Glacier Bay or The Hubbard Glacier. We chose the latter and were not disappointed as we saw some amazing sights. You could book an excursion on a smaller boat which took about 150 people up close to the glacier but to be honest the ships captain took the ship pretty close to the glacier face. Itβs a wonderful sight. The glacier calved regular making thunderous sounds as it did. This was a truly breathtaking experienceβ¦..
