Day 5 of our Japan cruise and this is Yokohama. This was our day in Tokyo. Well, no, due to the Japanese immigration taking hours, we didn't have time. BUT, the Shinko area of Yokohama is lovely to explore and made up for it very well. Come with us as we cross the bay on a flying gondola (sounds better than cable car), soar over the city on a Ferris wheel, explore a theme park and shopping city, have some uniquely Japanese food, then take a magical night time flight back over the harbour (ok it's the return cable car, but it was amazing, watch the video!) Back on the ship, we show the really very good food at the main dining room and watch the spectacular Silk Road show in TWO70ΒΊ We chose this cruise because we wanted an easy way to see a bit of Japan for our first trip there. Despite this being Royal Caribbean's worst rated ship, we still took the plunge. You might have worked out from my earlier videos that the 'worst rated ship' badge is very unfair on Spectrum of the Seas - it's a beautiful ship! However, the organisation at port days has left a lot to be desired. In Kobe a couple of days ago, we were over 2 hours getting through immigration, at one point being crushed and jostled so much it actually felt dangerous. Not sure who is to blame here, Japanese immigration for being so slow, or RC for letting too many people off the ship at a time. Today was another very slow day through immigration, though this time it was at least orderly
