Disney Cruise Line Vlog | Disney Fantasy Embarkation day | Northern Europe | Southampton | Sept 25

Hello I'm Jonny! Welcome to One Manc’s Dream and welcome to the first vlog from my 7 night sailing on board the Disney Fantasy! This sailing we are visiting Northern Europe and the ports of Bruges, Skargen, Copenhagen and Kristiansand. In this Video we start our adventure with travel day! We don’t set sail on the Disney Fantasy until tomorrow so today we drive down to Southampton to stay the night before we sail. We’re staying at the Leonardo Royal Grand harbour, so once we have packed up the car join us as we make the trip down from Manchester to Southampton and stop along the way. Once checked in, we take a walk around Southampton to see what is on offer close to the port. Embarkation day is here! Located around 5 minutes drive away, today we are sailing from the Horizon Cruise Terminal. We are parking at the terminal this trip and have pre booked our parking with ABP parking at the terminal. Although it is expensive this is the closest parking to there ship. I booked via the link on the Disney cruise line website to make sure parking was correct. Once we arrive at the port we drop our luggage off before checking in at the terminal. Disney does a great job at making the check in process simple so I’ll explain the process as we board. Finally it’s time to be announced onto the Disney Fantasy and grab a first glimpse the atrium. Most venues on Disney Cruise line are open house on embarkation day so let’s explore! Join us as we check out some of the adults only bars venues and have lunch onboard. After embarkation, staterooms are ready for guests so let’s check out our standard inside stateroom on deck 9. Once we have completed the ships safety muster drill it’s time for the magical sail and wave party. The best party of the week and the most magical way to say goodbye to the UK and hello to our 7 night cruise. As the English coast disappears into the distance we get ready for our first evening onboard. Disney use rotational dinning system, meaning you rotate through the three restaurants onboard while your servers stay with you. Tonight we are dinning in Enchanted Garden. The Enchanted Garden is designed to resemble the gardens of Versalles in Paris. With stunning greenery, blooming flowers, elegant water fountains and a sky that changes from day to night as you dine, Enchanted garden has a beautiful relaxing feeling and is one of my favourite dinning locations on the ship. To finish the day we grab a drink and have a late night stroll around the ship.
