After checking out, we make our way to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) ready for our Air Canada flight to Vancouver, where we'll board the Disney Wonder for our long-awaited Alaska cruise. Before travelling, I share a few useful Canada travel tips including applying for an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) and using the ArriveCAN app to help speed up the arrival process. At LAX Terminal 6 we check in with Air Canada and head through security before visiting the Maple Leaf Lounge. I show you around the lounge, take a look at the facilities available to Business Class passengers and share our first impressions before boarding our flight to Vancouver. Today we're flying aboard an Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX 8 in Business Class. I give you a full tour of the seat, storage options, entertainment system, recline, footrest and onboard amenities, as well as a look at the complimentary WiFi available to Business Class passengers. We also share the inflight service and our first-time impressions and review of flying with Air Canada. After landing at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), we experience Canadian immigration using ArriveCAN and make our way into British Columbia. Along the way, we admire the scenery, mountains and greenery surrounding Vancouver before taking an Uber downtown. We're staying at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, one of the most convenient hotels for Disney Cruise Line guests sailing from Vancouver. Located directly opposite Canada Place Cruise Terminal, the hotel offers a complimentary luggage transfer service to cruise ships and stunning views across the city and waterfront. I give you a full tour of our Deluxe Two Queen Room at the Fairmont Waterfront, including the room amenities, bathroom, hotel facilities and city views from the 21st floor. We also take a look around the hotel, including the pool and fitness facilities, and explain why this hotel is such a popular choice for cruise passengers bound for Alaska. Later, Gary and I head out to explore a little of Vancouver. We walk through Gastown, visit the famous Gastown Steam Clock, browse local shops, pick up a few Canadian souvenirs and get our first taste of the city before embarkation day. We also share some practical information about getting around downtown Vancouver, local prices and what to expect if you're visiting before an Alaska cruise.
