Welcome to Deep in the Plus! Long ago, and Deep in the Disney Plus Catalog, there was a golden age of powerful gods and extraordinary heroes. And the greatest and strongest of all these heroes was the mighty Hercules. Back in 1997, Disney took a stab at Greek mythology in the animated feature, Hercules! In this telling of the tale, Herc (played by Tate Donovan), is a son of gods. As part of an evil plan, baby Hercules is snatched by Hades (James Woods) and forced to live among mortals, but kept his god-like strength. As a teenager, Hercules needs to perform a rite of passage on Earth to prove himself worthy of returning home to Mount Olympus. With his plucky satyr sidekick, Philoctetes (voiced by Danny DeVito), along for the ride, Hercules must learn how to use his strength to defeat a series of evil creatures.
