Disney Treasure Embarkation Day | Disney Cruise Line Vlog | Western Caribbean | Part 1 | Jan 26

Welcome back to One Manc’s Dream. Hello, I’m Jonny! Join me as I sail onboard the Disney Treasure for 7 nights around the Western Caribbean, visiting Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Disney’s Castaway Cay. Grab your Mickey ears — it’s time to set sail! In this vlog, we board the Disney Treasure for the first time. This is my fifth Disney Cruise ship, and I’m excited to explore everything onboard. After spending the night at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter, today’s journey to the port is quick and easy with Disney Cruise Line transportation, which includes convenient luggage pickup from the resort. Once at the port, we go through Disney’s smooth check-in process before stepping onboard the grand hall of the Disney Treasure. Embarkation day is the perfect time to explore the ship — from adults-only bars to kids’ clubs and all the onboard facilities. Around 1pm, staterooms are ready, so we tour my inside stateroom on Deck 11 before participating in the mandatory safety muster drill and kicking off the magical sail-away and wave party — the most exciting way to start a Disney cruise. As the American coastline disappears, the first evening onboard begins. Disney Cruise Line uses a rotational dining system, so tonight we enjoy our first dinner at one of the restaurants while our servers stay with us throughout the week. The following day is a relaxing sea day, perfect for enjoying onboard activities like trivia, character meet-and-greets, and indulging in delicious treats. I also try a new experience for me — a beer tasting onboard! As evening falls, it’s formal night — a relaxed and optional way to dress up and enjoy the Captain’s Reception before heading to the Walt Disney Theatre for Sea’s the Adventure, a fun show featuring your favourite Disney characters. Dinner follows at 1923, a restaurant celebrating the golden age of California and animation, named after the year Walt Disney founded his company. Finally, we explore adult entertainment onboard, including trivia, games, live music, and unique bars like The Haunted Mansion Parlour, Scat Cat’s Lounge, and The Skippers Society.
