Disney World: Discovery River Character Cruise with The Lion King (4K)

With the onset of the Covid Pandemic the Disney Parks around the world shut down for the first time ever. With the return in July of 2020 a new normal came with it that lacked the ability to meet and greet your favorite characters. In its place came the creation of character cavalcades, motorcades, and flotillas that would allow guests to randomly see their characters from a safe distance as they made their way through the parks. The Discovery River Character Cruise takes place daily in Animal Kingdom starting in the Discovery River Theater and completing a full clockwise loop around the Discovery River before passing through the theater again to leave. There are two variants of it, one featuring The Lion King and the other Pocahontas. The Lion King boat features Timon and Rafiki onboard. This video was filmed on September 30th 2021 on the Asia and Pandora Bridges as well as October 6th 2021 in the Discovery River Theater within the Animal Kingdom Park.
