About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
In between our Regent Seven Seas and Oceania cruises, we spend two days visiting one of our favorite cities in the world--Rome. We take you through the streets of Rome to 12 of our favorite sights. These include not only St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica, but also down to the presumed final resting space of St. Peter himself in the Necropolis of the Vatican on the Scavi Tour. Next, we walk down to the Tiber River to the Castel Sant'Angelo before we cross over the Ponte Sant'Angelo to get dinner and walk through the splendid Piazza Navona. But just around the corner is the iconic Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. The next day we walk up the Spanish Steps on our way to the Borghese Gardens and more importantly to the Borghese Gallery which such wonderful art. This all works up our appetite, so we walk to one of our favorite places to get charcuterie and wine at Ciao Bella before walking to the Trajan Forum, Roman Form, and of course--the Colosseum
