In this video, we explore downtown Fairbanks, Alaska as part of our Princess Alaska Cruise Tour series. Fairbanks is an inland stop that many cruisers experience before or after their Alaska cruise, so we wanted to see what it’s really like to explore on your own. We take the Princess shuttle from the Fairbanks Lodge into downtown, stop by the Fairbanks Visitor Center, walk through the nearby park to see the famous antler arch, and share our first impressions of this very small and quiet downtown area. We also visit the Fairbanks Ice Museum, located inside an old historic theater, grab some delicious crêpes, do a bit of shopping, and then return to the lodge by Uber instead of the shuttle.
