Empress of the Seas: Entertainment Area Tour
YouTube Video Descriptionβ
Entertainment has long been a part of the Royal Caribbean experience. On their ships they have an entire section dedicated to entertainment. On the Empress of the Seas it spans decks 5 and 6. While the Empress is the smallest ship in the fleet she has large spaces and as a result she is home to the largest Schooner Bar in the fleet located directly off the Centrum on Deck 5. Featuring a split with the piano and bar in the middle the large lounge allows for guests to spread out to either side allowing for better use of the space than others in the fleet. Continuing through the Centrum guests then enter a large area that doubles as the Focus Photo Gallery. Lacking any of the high tech stations found on the newer ships she utilized the traditional methodology of displaying every photo for guests to find their own. A half deck connecting the area to Deck 6 above then features a series of slot machines. Continuing to deck 6 the Casino Royal features a small table area on the port side while the starboard side is filled with slot machines in a passageway that connects the Royal Shops to the aft staircase. Beyond the stair case is Boleros Lounge, another Royal Caribbean traditional venue and the largest of it's type as well. This spacious venue features a cuban vibe as it was implemented for the purpose of catering to the Cuban sailings. To go along with that in addition to the bar a coffee shop known as CafΓ© Royal with small food items is located directly inside the entrance. The lounge features a large dance floor allowing for both dancing and games to take place in the venue.
