Creator's Key Takeaways

I have a Middle Eastern background, so I'm pretty familiar with the food and culture that we're exploring today.

This is my first time actually making baklava on my own.

The tricky part about the baklava of any kind is going to be the filo dough.

I hope I make it, you know, approachable cuz that's my my um goal is to make you not afraid to try this.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Keep filo dough covered with a damp paper towel to prevent it from drying out and becoming brittle.
Clean as you go to minimize post-cooking cleanup and enjoy the fruits of your labor without worry.

Handling filo dough is tricky because it's paper-thin and temperamental.Keep it covered with a damp cloth, work gently, and don't be afraid of mistakes—just smooth out tears or cracks.

⭐Spanakopita Recipe: Ingredients: 1 pkg. Phyllo Dough Sheets 1 pkg. (16 oz.) Frozen Chopped Spinach 8 oz. Feta Cheese, crumbled Granulated Garlic, to taste 1 Lemon, juiced Pam Butter Flavored Spray Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Microwave spinach to cook according to package directions. Drain thoroughly. I squeeze it to get all the water out using paper towels. In a mixing bowl, combine drained spinach, crumbled feta cheese, granulated garlic, to taste, and the juice if one lemon. Set aside. Open phyllo dough sheets and work quickly so as not yo dry out the dough or it will fall apart on you because it’s so thin. On a large cutting board or clean work surface, layer 5-6 sheets of phyllo dough spraying each sheet of phyllo dough liberally and completely with the Pam spray. Using a very sharp knife, cut the sheets into five even strips vertically (short way). Put one Tablespoon of the filling at bottom end of each strip leaving about 1/8” border. Fold each strip over diagonally, back and forth to form the triangles and seal. Place triangles seam side down on a foil lined baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Spray each triangle liberally with more cooking spray.Repeat with remaining dough until you run out of filling. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown. ⭐Chocolate Baklava Rolls Recipe LINK: https://bit.ly/30GqjBL ⭐Regular Baklava Recipe LINK:https://bit.ly/2PEbIk4
