"Explorer of the Seas" & "Anthem of the Seas" in Southampton Docks - 22/04/2015

One week following her arrival, Royal Caribbean International's brand-new "Anthem of the Seas" was ready for her Maiden Voyage on Wednesday 22nd April 2015. Before her planned departure time, a late addition to the days' events came in the form of a second RCI ship - "Explorer of the Seas" which will also be sailing from Southampton during the year. She arrived at the 'QEII' Terminal around 15:30 from a refit and would remain there until the 'City' Terminal became vacant. With the fire tug "Phenix" in attendance, "Anthem of the Seas" departed from the 'City' Terminal at around 17:00 heading for Vigo, Spain. She reversed down past the Town Quay and turned off the 'Ocean' Terminal before passing "Explorer of the Seas" in an exchange of blasts from their horns before heading off down Southampton Water. At 18:15, "Explorer of the Seas" moved from the 'QEII' Terminal to the 'City' Terminal where she would stay overnight before departing on Thursday 23rd. Viewed from Town Quay and Mayflower Park.
