We spent 48 hours in San Francisco. Here's a look at some of the best this city has to offer. This was only our first day, but we crammed so much into it. Even if you do a fraction of what we did, you will have a full day. Can't imagine what we will do on day two! Description: Join us as the Holland America Koningsdam sails into San Francisco on our cruise from San Diego to Vancouver! 🛳 Docked at Pier 35, we set out on foot to explore one of the world’s most iconic waterfront cities. Our adventure begins at Pier 39, where playful sea lions lounge in the sun, before wandering to Ghirardelli Square for a taste of chocolate history. 🍫 From there, we attempt to hop aboard a classic San Francisco cable car 🚋 for a ride through the city’s famous hills, but cannot, due to a fallen tree. So instead, we pivot to plan "B". For plan "B", we experience the future of transportation with a Waymo driverless car ride—a surreal, hands‑free journey through the streets! 🚗💨 We explore Union Square’s shopping district, stroll through the vibrant colors and aromas of Chinatown, and step inside the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company to watch cookies being made fresh.
