Join us for our very first visit to Malta as we dock in the stunning capital city of Valletta on board the Celebrity Ascent cruise ship! 🇲🇹⚓ Our adventure begins right at the port, surrounded by gorgeous historic buildings and converted old warehouses. We then hop on a traditional Maltese dgħajsa boat for a unique ride across the water – an unforgettable way to arrive in style! 🚤 Next, we take the famous Barrakka Lift (€1) up to the Upper Barrakka Gardens and the old town of Valletta, where charming narrow streets are lined with unique shops, cosy cafés, and traditional Maltese restaurants. We also visit the incredible Casa Rocca Piccola, a 400-year-old noble home complete with its own wartime bomb shelter. 🏛️ From there, we head to the medieval city of Mdina, known as the “Silent City”, where we enjoy breathtaking views, explore its quiet streets, and stop for a delicious Maltese lunch. Before returning to the ship, we make a final stop at the Hard Rock Cafe Valletta right in the port.
