Another busy day in Southampton Docks with five Cruise Ships in on Monday 6th June 2016. Among them was the world's oldest operational cruise ship - the "Astoria", formally known as the "Stockholm" which was involved in a collision off the United States with the "Andrea Doria" and resulting in the latter's sinking. The other four ships in towered over "Astoria" including the brand-new "AIDAprima". In this video we see the following movements... - "AIDAprima" (AIDA) arriving from Hamburg at around 08:00. She sailed up to the Middle Swinging Ground before turning and then reversing past Town Quay to moor at Berth 102. - "Astoria" (Rivages du Monde) arrives from Dunkirk on second cruise with the French Company being sub-chartered from CMV & Portuscale Cruises. She docked at the 'Ocean' Terminal at around 08:30. - "Navigator of the Seas" (Royal Caribbean International) departs from the 'City' Terminal at 16:25 heading off on a 10-night Cruise to the Canary Islands. - "Aurora" (P&O Cruises) departs from the 'Mayflower' Terminal at 16:56 heading off on a 18-night Cruise to the Mediterranean. - "Seven Seas Voyager" (Regent Seven Seas Cruises) from the 'QEII' Terminal at 18:03 heading off on a 10-night Cruise around the British Isles. "AIDAprima" did not depart until 21:33 whilst "Astoria" wasn't due to depart until around midnight. Viewed from Town Quay.
