These meals were enjoyed onboard a cruise from Tokyo to Singapore, late 2018. One thing we love about Princess cruises is that they serve lunch in the main dining room on embarkation day. When we boarded in Yokoyama, we started with a green Salad, and a Avocado and bay shrimp appetizer. Then, a Bacon burger by special request for our son, Chicken cacciatore, and Broiled salmon with lemon dill sauce. For dessert, a light and tasty apple tart Tatin. Dinner night 1: savoy dining room For our first night in the Savoy Dining room, we started with a Garden salad, Creamed artichoke bisque, and Rum infused pina colada soup, followed by Texas chili, seaBass with pineapple papaya salsa and Kids spaghetti thatβs good enough for grown up tastes. For dessert, classic cheesecake and creme brulee. On our second night, we started with Artichoke dip, always available shrimp cocktail, fruit cocktail from the kids menu, and Chilled granny smith and cider soup. Entrees included a Seafood skewer, and Surf and turf From the dessert menu, we tried the Cheese plate with Brie and Gouda , Apple walnut spring rolls, and cookies and ice cream. Night three started with green Salad, Chilled cucumber soup, Fruit kebabs with lavender honey cream, and smoked chicken breast, followed by Grilled salmon which is always available, and Tagliatelle with lobster sauce. We hardly had room for Carrot cake and the adorable Sugar free swan We missed Night 4 in the dining room, so weβll skip ahead to Night 5βs starters. A light Seafood soup and Chilled coconut soup were perfect preludes to tandoori shrimp, a perfect pasta Carbonara, and sole filets. And, a surprise birthday cake for our son. The following evening, my husband enjoyed peach and Apricot chilled soup and a unique Crab and apple cocktail. For our main courses, crispy red snapper and surf and turf, Hereβs another look at a few items from lunch in the main dining room - the Β½ muffaleta sandwich, and linquine with meatballs Dinner on night 7 started with Celery apple soup, a marinated Goat cheese & veggie antipasto that was delicious with bread and a mixed green salad with beets. For mains, Orange roughy with melted leeks and chive butter sauce, and beef fajitas. Italian night started with, Peach Bellini soup, and a rich Eggplant parmigiana. We chose stuffed Chicken and a hamburger with bacon wrapped shrimp The chef brought a spicy, garlicky penne arrabiatta, and our son special ordered fettuccine alfredo with meatballs For dessert, classic Cassata alla Siciliana and Tiramisu which went beautifully with a cappuccino. The following day we tried brunch in the main dining room. Our sonβs favorite - James Beardβs french toast has a corn flake coating. The grown ups started with a seafood quesadilla and fresh fruit, followed by a bacon burger and monte cristo sandwich with fries. We shared an apple walnut cobbler with ice cream for dessert. Night 9, it was back to the Savoy dining room for Chilled yogurt apple soup Tian of crab, seafood and shrimp with caviar. For mains, a cheese pumpkin crepe, lobster with lemon butter sauce, and red wine braised beef Short ribs. For dessert, my favorite Floating islands in vanilla sauce, and Chocolate journeys chocolate pistachio dome. The following evening, we started with Island pineapple with candied pistachios and date mascarpone, Shrimp bisque, and Frosty mango and pear soup, then Pan seared red snapper and a hearty portion of jerk chicken. Our son had yet another yummy bacon burger. On our last night of the cruise, we started with Gazpacho, a Cesar salad and Beef hot pot served with an empanada. For entrees, Beef stroganoff, and a Burger topped with crab to close out the trip. Thanks for tuning in. Share your favorite Princess cruise dining experiences in the comments below.
