We visited Gibraltar in 1978 and 1979 when the border between Spain and Gibraltar was firmly shut. My Eumig 880 PMA movie camera had great features for it's time - 8x zoom, time lapse, slow motion, night shot, ultra wide angle lens, but it still used Super8 film. I've stabilised and enhanced the film to make it more watchable. We start with the exciting landing into Gibraltar Airport, then a look around the rock and a trip to Tangier. We take a trip on the cable car, walk down the Mediterranean Steps, explore the tunnels and see the border gate - the British gates wide open, the Spanish gates firmly shut. It's mainly a movie film, but I've included slides to enhance parts of it, and lots of captions to give background to the film.
