This excursion is offered out of the port of Falmouth, Jamaica through DCL. On the way to the river via bus, some background information was given that included the rafting tour started more than forty years ago. Rafting on the Martha Brae boasts a complement of up to 100 licensed and experienced raft captains. The thirty-foot long bamboo rafts are boarded from a concrete pier. The raft ride is operated over a three mile stretch of the beautiful Martha Brae River and lasts approximately one hour. You are welcome to shop from the riverbank vendors or to jump into the river and take the swim. Even though the water looked muddy, Greg said it was a wonderful and relaxing experience. It made for the perfect outing on Greg’s big birthday in the third port of call on our seven-day cruise on the Disney Treasure. A special thanks to Greg’s river raft captain! Correction- the raft Greg was on was only a little over a month old.
