Creator's Key Takeaways
We stayed on board and this morning we had a bit of a lion.
It was $129. Um, which I didn't think was too bad because they had a similar treatment on other ships and it's in around the same price.
The carrot cake was definitely the standout moment of the evening.

While Allure of the Seas was docked in Civitavecchia, the gateway port for Rome, we decided to do something a little different. They say Rome wasn’t built in a day, and you certainly can’t see it all in a day either, so we stayed onboard to enjoy a rare treat: an almost empty ship! With most guests ashore exploring the Eternal City, Allure felt like a peaceful ghost ship. We took the opportunity to explore some of the venues we hadn’t yet visited, enjoyed a classic lunch at Johnny Rockets, and spent some blissfully quiet time unwinding in the adults-only Solarium. As the sun set, the atmosphere shifted to full Caribbean Night vibes, complete with vibrant entertainment and dancing under the stars of the Royal Promenade. The highlight of the evening was Aqua 82, an incredible show that combines acrobatics, diving, and all the best hits of the 1980s. If you’re a fan of 80s music, this is one you won’t want to miss! Join us for this unique day onboard from calm seas to high-energy shows and see what Allure of the Seas feels like when you have it (almost) all to yourself. 👍 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you’re enjoying this cruise series - more ports and surprises to come! 📍 Cruise Details: Ship: Allure of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International) Embarkation Port: Barcelona, Spain Cruise Itinerary: Mediterranean Cruise visiting Marseille, Palma de Mallorca, La Spezia, Civitavecchia and Naples.
