What's it like to cruise through a Bomb Cyclone? First, what is a Bomb Cyclone? A Bomb Cyclone is a rapidly intensifying storm within a 24 hour period. Come check out this raw footage I took the second to last night of the last cruise to Alaska in 2021. Norwegian Encore was the only ship in Alaskan waters at the time as we became the latest cruisers to ever go to Alaska. There was a major storm system brewing off the coast of Alaska which we had to go through to get home to Seattle, and starting from around Midnight on Friday, October 22nd to all day on Friday, October 22nd, we had some of the roughest seas I have ever experienced in my 16 cruises. I have never gotten motion sickness but I felt this! I am talking 25-30 foot seas and strong swells that are just crazy! This is night footage only taken between 2:00am-4:00am. It was wild!
