I GOT STUCK on MSC World America😖 What a day! Costa Maya - Day 4

"UNUSUAL Ship Day" day in Costa Maya, complete with a GETTING STUCK INSIDE A SLIDE Join us on Day 4 of our MSC World America cruise We start the day off slow, cozy, and dry with breakfast delivered to our cabin, watching the gloomy Costa Maya weather roll in. With the cold rain sticking around, we decided to explore the ship instead of heading ashore. Our first mission: find the sports complex. That took us through the indoor pool, past the foosball and ping-pong tables, and out onto an eerily empty pool deck as we hunted for the roller‑skating venue. Unfortunately, there was a limit on how many people could skate, so I was out. But Jayne, who used to be a prolific skater back in the day, bravely joined a mixed crowd of adults and kids… and immediately skated in the opposite direction of everyone else. 😂 She had an absolute blast. Then came The Jaw Drop 🫣 the stainless-steel dry slide of doom. I don’t usually get rattled by drop slides, but this one? I got stuck! Properly stuck! Cue panic! It took me over a minute and a half to get through the bloody thing, and I had to sit at the bottom to calm myself down to avoid a full on panic attack. A cold drink and some quiet seats at the aft of the World Promenade helped reset the nerves… until the rain started again. We ducked into the Sports Bar for another pint and checked the hockey schedule, then found a perfect little balcony spot above Paxo’s Greek Restaurant overlooking the World Promenade. Great people watching spot! We talk about our day so far, our trip overall, what we liked, what we didn’t and reminisced about our past visits to Costa Maya. Next up: trivia, where we scored 9/10 good, but not good enough to win. Lunch was a glorious mix of wings, burgers, mac & cheese, chicken fingers at the World Galleria’s burger and pizza spot. We chatted about the food quality before heading off for some more trivia ( which we didn't film) Fast forward to 7:30 pm and we are seated for our specialty restaurant "Butcher’s Cut" for an amazing steak dinner. We caught a bit of the Love & Marriage Show, then wrapped up the night at our favourite pub onboard, "Master of the Sea" , we really love this venue! Overall a really GREAT DAY! Rainy Costa Maya? Didn’t matter. MSC World America kept us busy from morning room service to late-night pints.
