Creator's Key Takeaways

I'm Adrian the cruising travel guy and I've just returned from what was unequivocally one of the most surprising cruises of my life

this experience though has very little to do with your cabin it exploring Australia's Murray river is the aim of the game

the crew in particular are among the friendliest that I have ever met and really shared that sense of country hospitality and passion for service and fun

I have no hesitation in recommending it

Creator's Tips & Advice

βœ“Bring only a carry-on size suitcase due to limited storage
βœ“Spend time in Echuca before or after the cruise
βœ“Be prepared for compact cabins but appreciate the private ensuite

πŸ†•New to Cruising? This Creator Addresses:

Compact cabin space β€” Cabins are efficiently designed with private ensuites; focus on the experience rather than cabin size
Mobility on board β€” Be cautious of stairways and humps; the crew is helpful and the experience is worth it

#cruise #cruisereview #paddlesteamer #murrayriver #rivercruise Follow along as we venture across Australia's mighty Murray River. The world's third longest navigable river, this in an epic part of Australia's outback with an amazing history. Come onboard PS Emmylou for a 3 night cruise (she also offers 4 and 7 night cruises) as we depart Echuca in Victoria's north and set course for Torrumbarry Weir. PS Emmylou belongs to the Murray River Paddle Steamer company and is the world's only wood fired paddle steamer to continue operating regularly scheduled overnight cruises. PS Australian Star is the company's new ship, and while it's currently under construction it is planned to launch in early 2025 and will offer capacity for 38 passengers compared to Emmylou's 16. I hope you enjoy the review and I urge you to consider a cruise along the mighty Murray River, so that you too can be surprised by what is one of Australia's most "Aussie" cruises.
