Welcome back to my channel, and welcome to the second episode of my series from onboard one of the biggest and newest ships from Costa Cruises: Costa Smeralda. From a ship point of view, she's amazing! However, one of my pet hates with cruising in Europe on a megaship is that you often end of docking SO FAR AWAY from the main town itself, but not today! Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to IBIZA! Growing up in the UK, I only really knew Ibiza as the island that people would go to for crazy drink-fuelled holidays, rather than a place people would go to experience a true cultural-immersion. I was so impressed with what I saw during the port of call, and am delighted to be returning here in a few months, so stay tuned for Ibiza round 2! In this series, Smeralda will be visiting various ports in Spain, France and Italy - let's go and explore some more of Europe together! So, what are we looking at in this video today? Well, we’ll start in my cabin right after we dock (d'oh), then take a walk around the top deck to get our bearings. After a coffee (and some pastries, obviously!) up in the cabin, we'll make our way ashore to explore the city, see the old town (complete with castle!) and soak up some of the best views from the hilltop looking over the whole island!
