Our trip report for our recent cruise from the Iceland Capital city to Boston on the east coast of the USA saw us visit some incredible ports of call but the highlight of the cruise was a sail through the magnificent Prince Christian Sound (Prins Cristian Sund) in Greenland. In this first part of our trip report, we show you the Skarfabakki cruise terminal in Reykjavik and the stunning Icelandic cruise ports of Isafjordur and Akureyri. Our time in Isafjordur was mostly spent exploring the Westfjords region including the Dynjandi waterfall. In Akureyri, we visited plenty of great attractions including We went to the beautiful Goddafoss waterfall, the bubbling geothermal landscape of Hverir before visiting the lava rock formations of Dimmuborgir and the pseudo craters at Skutustadagigar.
