I'm lucky enough to have been on the two biggest cruise ships in the world, Wonder of the Seas and now Icon of the Seas. For future cruisers I thought it was worth comparing and contrasting if you're deciding which ship to sail on. There are similarities of course (they're both Royal Caribbean ships after all) but they are also both very different and offer different things. Which do I prefer? Cabin-wise they're both similar and they both have Central Park, a surf simulator, climbing wall, mini-golf and umpteen pool, although Icon of the Seas is the only one to have a swim-up bar. Wonder of the Seas has the Ultimate Abyss - the tallest slide at sea - which Icon doesn't. And it also has a zip line which Icon doesn't. But then Icon has lots of things Wonder doesn't have, like the Aqua Dome, the Pearl, the Crown's Edge thrill attraction and a showstopper aqua park.
