Independence of the Seas: 2012 Transatlantic Day 14 - Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

The morning of wednesday December 5th 2012 marked the end of a two week journey for the Independence of the Seas. She finally made it across the Atlantic Ocean, storm and all, to be welcomed in her new winter home of Port Everglades. To make this occasion she received special treatment in being allowed to make use of the enormous Terminal 18 that was built for the Oasis class of ships. Designed to turn around ships carrying 6,000 plus passengers (often 2/3 from out of the US) the terminal was able to handle the Indy with ease and quickly got everyone wished through customs and on their way to the next stop in their life journey.
