"Independence of the Seas" departs Southampton for Hamburg - 20/04/2013

Royal Caribbean International's "Independence of the Seas" returned to Southampton on Saturday 20th April 2013. Her stay was only a short one though as she departed from the 'City' Terminal shortly after 12pm heading for drydocking and a refit in Hamburg, Germany. Like P&O Cruises' "Ventura", "Independence of the Seas" has now been in service roughly five years. She has been a regular sight in Southampton since then working RCI's main Europe cruises. This year she will be joined by her smaller & elder sister "Adventure of the Seas" on the Southampton-based cruises. Viewed from Mayflower Park.
