This includes; new water slides, a trampoline park, laser tag, an escape room, panoramic staterooms and a new Asian Inspired Restaurant. Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas cruises from Southampton. Here is some information about Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas... Independence of the Seas offers an incredible range of on board activity options. In terms of activities the whole family are almost guaranteed to not get bored. Skypad - This is basically as trampoline with a built in VR experience. You’ll be strapped in to a harness and you’ll be given a headset. So, while you are jumping on the trampoline it will feel as if you are jumping through a world full of sweets or jumping through the stars travelling into a futuristic world. This is included in the price of the cruise. Laser Tag on a cruise ship! You will have to book it through your Cruise Planner or on board box office but, this is again included in the price of the cruise. Escape Room – The Observatorium. This one does come at a surcharge but, again extremely fun. It is for ages 14 and over but, it’s definitely one to get involved with all the family. Flowrider - This is one of the most popular features that is now synomonous with Royal Caribbean ships. You may even have seen it feature in the Netflix film ‘Like Father’ that was filmed exclusively on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas. This is a surf simulator that is on-board the ship which, allows you to surf or boogie board on simulated waves of up to 40 feet. Splashaway Bay - This bigger, better water adventure features colorful waterslides, water cannons, fountains, pools and whirlpools for young children to tweens. The Perfect storm - It is said to be three stories high! Remember this is on a cruise ship! Outrageous. Musicals - Like all cruises the musicals on-board are subject to change. But, you can guarantee there will be a west end level show on-board Independence of the Seas. At the point of filming there is currently Grease. This is very much like the show you’d find on the West End with all the glitz, glamour and bright lights. Not only this Independence has an original show on-board too. This is ‘Once upon a time.’ Movies - . On Independence of the Seas everything is huge, and watching a movie outside by the pool is no different. There is a 220 square foot movie screen that shows first movies, live sport events and more!
