About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

We recently sailed on Oceania Cruises’ Sirena for a 7-night cruise of the Mediterranean. Carrying only 670 passengers at double occupancy, Sirena is one of the smallest and oldest of Oceania’s 7 ships currently in operation. It is an “R-class” ship, originally built in 1999 for Renaissance Cruises — and also previously owned by Princess Cruises. In fact, the Sirena is 1 of 4 different “R-class” ships in Oceania’s fleet, alongside the Regatta, Insignia, and Nautica... meaning this cabin will closely resemble a Veranda category stateroom on any of those 4 ships. The Verandah category staterooms measure a comfortable 216 square feet. Even though the ship is 25 years old now, it was most recently refurbished in 2019, and today the cabins look light and contemporary, modern and chic. Join us for a tour of a standard Veranda stateroom on Oceania Cruises’s Sirena, cabin 6066. Find out what we loved about this cabin, a couple small drawbacks, but also one key way in which this older Sirena cruise cabin has an advantage over similar grade cabins on Oceania's newest ship Vista.
