Intro to My Cruising Family

We're moving from blah slideshows on YouTube to actual YouTube travel vlogs! We plan on only getting better from here! Some may ask "why call this space 'My Cruising Family' when we haven’t been on a cruise ship in almost 2 years?" The p a n d e m i c has definitely affected our travels during the past 18 months. That said, my family and I have been cruising through LIFE together during this time even with added challenges thrown our way. From quarantine, to remote schooling our two sons while I'm working from home, to me having open-heart surgery, and more. So, yeah, we are My Cruising Family! Here are some key points about me and My Cruising Family: My name is Peta-Gaye and I love to travel. I’m 40 years old and have been traveling internationally for the past 36 years and counting. As a mom of 2 rambunctious boys, ages 10 and 6, my favorite option for family travels has been cruising. That said, our boys and our family have repeatedly flown internationally as well. We don’t ONLY cruise. During the past year, I’ve utilized Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/mycruisingfam), YouTube, and the blog (https://www.mycruisingfamily.com) to share faith, lifestyle, and travel content during a time that I’ve felt probably the most stressed and stretched. Hopefully, what I’ve shared has helped lift others who’ve also felt this way. Prior to the p a n d e m i c, we’d visited many countries [reflected in this YouTube short], and reminiscing on those trips is motivation for us as we hope, pray, and plan to be safely globetrotting again. Before that though, My Cruising Family and I will be pausing for a bit to focus on the One Who created us and has all the answers at a time that I feel that I have many questions. I will be focusing on my boys’ new school year, new expectations and requirements, as well as my career and where it should go from here. If God desires for me to be in this creative space, then I most definitely will be. Right now, though, I’m preparing to pause while already feeling a comeback in my spirit.
