Isafjordur, Iceland is a charming village that is an easy walk from the cruise ship port. After a planned boat excursion was canceled, I battled poor weather in order to see the town. I'm happy I did, as it sits in a beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains. The Isafjordur Culture Center was definitely worth the walk and seemed to be a hub of the community's activities. For senior and solo travelers: It was an easy walk to the town on flat surfaces. I would suggest venturing out beyond the town to other sights to enhance your visit. Iceland has beautiful landscape, so the more you can see, the better. @seniorsolotravel Facebook Travel Forum: https://www.facebook.com/groups/443309331791413 Senior Solo Travel Website: https://www.seniorsolotravel.net/ Videos from this journey: Edinburgh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLZiSpBRojs St Andrew's Day Trip Excursion: https://youtu.be/U9Ho9_eeW3c Highlands Tour to Loch Ness and Glencoe: https://youtu.be/dOWrl52ex3o Orkney Islands: https://youtu.be/Pf7omHQ7wzY Faroe Islands: https://youtu.be/-OUdDlJtjAI Akureyri, Iceland: https://youtu.be/LKHMYTqaD8k Isafjordur, Iceland: https://youtu.be/j8SprJ7LaLY Reykjavik, Iceland: https://youtu.be/QoBZa6wprW8 Nuuk, Greenland: https://youtu.be/pNANqdrg9ns Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada: https://youtu.be/mTyMpfeFkSs St John/Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada: https://youtu.be/0UZym3bzBpE Boston Duck Boat Tour: https://youtu.be/Sv09LJADv-4 Newport, Rhode Island: https://youtu.be/WuMYw5YAjhw Bermuda: https://youtu.be/nLlEE5JqG34
