We dined at Le Petit Chef onboard Celebrity Cruise Lines. This upcharge restaurant uses screen projection to "cook, build, and serve" the meal you're about to eat right in front of your very eyes on the plate the food is served. In our review, we share clips from the experience and our final thoughts (yay/nay) on this dining experience. The Backstory... Prior to boarding Celebrity Apex, we did extensive research on the food venues. We quickly discovered a unique dining option, Le Petit Chef. Once reservations opened up, we immediately booked the first night of the cruise at Le Grand Bistro for the Le Petit Chef dining experience! We were so excited about this dining adventure that we ended up recording the entire show! While we won't post the entire show (due to how long it is), we wanted to share some of the experience with you! The show was cute. We were amazed at how lifelike the Skullmapping projections were - it felt like the animations on our plate were popping right out at us! As the story followed its winding adventure, we got to learn more about Le Petit Chef and what his life was like growing up. He would tell us about some mythical lands and experiences and next thing we knew, we saw our first dish getting assembled, cartoon style. When the servers brought out the edible version, I have to admit, we were a bit surprised... The food was tasty, but the story? The experience overall? Well, you'll just have to watch the video to the very end to hear our final thoughts on it. The experience was unique and the pricing was lower than what you'd pay to experience this in a restaurant on the land, so we're definitely glad we did this on Celebrity Apex.
