LET'S BOARD ONE OF THE BIGGEST CRUISE SHIPS IN THE WORLD! Symphony of the Seas - Episode 1

Symphony of the Seas, the huge Oasis Class cruise ship from Royal Caribbean, has been on my ‘to cruise’ list for such a long time. I’ve not been able to cruise on here previously for a number of reasons, but I’ve now managed to get onboard! Come and join me for this BRAND NEW vlog series, as we explore this incredible ship together, and also explore some beautiful parts of Europe. In this video, we’ll go from Barcelona city centre, over to the cruise port, and then onto one of the largest cruise ships on the planet: Symphony of the Seas. Barcelona’s a pretty cool city to embark a cruise ship in, so I’m looking forward to showing you what this port looks like. I’ve cruised from here before, but never on a ship anything like this! From a size point of view, Symphony is absolutely ENORMOUS, carrying over 6,000 passengers at maximum capacity. There’s a wide array of cabins available on here - I’ll be staying in an ‘Outside cabin’ (in non-cruise-speak, this means I’ll have a window), so let me show you around. Registered in the Bahamas, Symphony of the Seas took her maiden cruise back in 2018. She’s 1,188ft long and a staggering 215.5ft wide, so this ship is a bit of a monster compared to some of the others available out there. Add to that an average cruising speed of 22 knots, and a weight of over 228,000 gross tonnes, and you end up with this pretty remarkable ship. Throughout this series, I’m going to be visiting ports across France, Spain and Italy, so come along for the ride - welcome aboard! I’ll warn you now - we’ll be visiting speciality restaurants, sampling the bars, experiencing the ports and watching some amazing show - prepare to be amazed that this experience exists on a cruise ship…!!
