A stay at Warner Hotels Littlecote House near Hungerford. Warner has ‘Adults-Only’ hotels around the UK. Many are in historic buildings like this one. We stayed at Littlecote for three nights over the weekend. The building has a new accommodation section, but you can also stay in the old Tudor House, which dates from the 1500s. Visitors to the house included Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, and the Americans during WWII. Nearby the house are the remains of Littlecote Roman Villa and its ornate mosaic floor. You can walk through the old house and its historic rooms, including the Dutch Parlour, the Cromwellian chapel and the haunted bedroom, which has a grim ghost story associated with it.
